Jim Corbett National Park

The largest Tiger Reserve includes the Corbett National Park; Project Tiger is located in Uttarakhand's Nainital area. The abundance of tigers in Corbett's majestic scenery is well recognized. Originally named Hailey National Park, Corbett was created in 1936 and holds the distinction of being the oldest and most esteemed National Park in India. In addition, it is recognized as the location of the 1973 Project Tiger launch. The most notable connection to this exceptional tiger region is that it is the genesis of Project Tiger, an initiative in India to protect the most vulnerable species and the majestic tigers.
